" What Can Animal Movements Tell Us About Conservation and Coexistence in a Changing World? "

As our world changes, and global stressors interact, highly mobile animals can respond by moving. As mobile animals are responsible for a variety of ecosystem functions, animal movement is a critical and undervalued aspect of biodiversity. From cities to forests, studying animal movement can reveal hidden threats to biodiversity and suggest options for coexistence. In this talk, I’ll show how investigating how and where animals move has advanced our understanding of animal responses to dynamic threats such as urbanization and wildfire from the local to the global scale.
