This year, in place of the Annual EEB Research Symposium, EEB is hosting its first EEB RESEARCH CELEBRATION. This event is scheduled for Friday, June 7, 2024, beginning at 5:00PM for all friends, family, and members of our community to join and learn about the amazing work our EEB students have been working on. The event includes Lightning Talks from selected presenters (i.e., a short talk about the presenter’s research project) and an End-of-Year EEB Awards and reception with light snacks and drinks (alcoholic & non-alcoholic) alongside the opportunity to view the research posters for many of our amazing undergraduate and graduate students.

The Event is scheduled for Friday, June 7th, 2024:

3:30-5:00 PM – Judging Session (*closed to the public)

5:00 – 6:30 PM – Lighting Talks

6:30 – 8:30 PM – EEB Awards; Reception and Poster Session

 

The EEB Research Celebration will showcase the research activities of the EEB community, including our undergraduate and graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and our faculty. As part of the event, EEB will also celebrate the many accomplishments of our EEB community, most especially, those of our students.

The Judged Poster Session will award the following prizes:

 

Donald G. Buth Award for Outstanding Poster Presentation

Total of six (6) awards: 1st, 2nd, 3rd place – Undergraduate and Graduate

 

Robert K. Wayne Award for Outstanding Poster in Conservation Biology and Genomics

Total of one (1) award

 

Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion Award

Total of one (1) award
